DSR :: Graffiti District

Formerly: New Jersey Graffiti 

    District is one of the least changed of the forbidden zones, still retaining an urban feel, though much of the landscape has shifted to retain that feel, the meteor creating cities where at one point there were none. The location appears much like a massive statewide city of uniform buildings covered in graffiti. In some instances rubble from various buildings have taken the appearance of strange, 3-dimensional graffiti. 

    Cores in this location are capable of traveling in two dimensions, the third and second, allowing them to travel across walls and even hide in them, blending in with the street art that permeates the location. The location is the only place where cores have infested inanimate objects, in this case, spray paint cans, and have given humans the ability of creating, summoning, and controlling their own cores. 

    Graffiti District’s meteor, Annihilation, resides in a large graffiti covered building dubbed the Compound. The most dangerous sector of the location, it is surrounded by an area known as the Drift, a dangerous outcrop of buildings filled with cores. Beyond the Drift lies the Battlegrounds where gangs fight each other for territory and gear. Across from the Drift, separated from it by the Battlegrounds, can be found the Grey, the most inhabited part of Graffiti District, beneath which lies the gang and core infested network of tunnels dubbed the Underground. 

    

    Civilians in Graffiti District congregate in small hubs, they scavenge for food, clothing, and gear and remain wary of outsiders. Gangs scavenge as well though they often hold up in large buildings, where they employ cores to guard it. 

    

    Though Graffiti District is low in terms of mutated landscape it is still to be considered a dangerous location. It resides closest to Center City and it is likely not impossible for its cores or gangs to find ways to venture past the city walls.
